Fall is here?

Strange how Fall is making its presence, isn’t it?  I’m not really sure it’s HERE yet…  But some sure signs are…

…these yummy persimmons growing in my mom’s backyard (they are also growing in Jim and Clare’s backyard but we haven’t seen them in a week!).  I cannot get enough of these… well, maybe in a few more weeks I might be done with them!  Until then, I am enjoying them daily.  The children eat them pretty often too!  I eat them like apples, but they prefer the skins peeled off.

And my new favorite fruit????  These pomegranates which are also from Mom’s garden!  Vince and I have been enjoying these each night after the children are in bed… as these are quite messy!  We can eat 2 or 3 in a sitting… OK, maybe I’m doing most of the eating!  😉  Pure sweetness, I tell ya!

Another true sign of fall???  It’s gardening time again!  The children always enoy helping me plant flowers.  We picked these up at Lowe’s last weekend and planted them when Morgan came home form school.

Enjoying the white puffy “clouds…”  Matthew insisted he saw a dinosaur, while Morgan just saw pancakes…hmm, I’ll have to check it out next!
