Miss Morgan “Daisy”

We are proud of our Daisy Girl Scout Morgan.  She is learning so much when she attends her troop meetings — learning about respect, responsiblity, and caring for others (amongst other things!).

(Matthew thinks he’s a Daisy too… well, he’s learning some great skills here so I am not going to disappoint him by arguing! 🙂  And the other girls don’t seem to mind him at all.  They sort of work around him!)

This week, she learned about caring for others who are less fortunate.  Her troop’s assignment was to bring in a few items to pack into 2 shoeboxes (one for a girl and one for a boy).  Her group of 7 girls brought so many items that her troop leader, Cindy, had to pack another box full of items for another little girl.  Isn’t that wonderful?!  The boxes will be packed and sent (postage will be paid with their weekly dues) to some girl and boy somewhere in another country.  If we find out, I will be sure to inform you all.

Isn’t it wonderful how you can teach them so early on to care for others?  That’s why we are proud she’s a Daisy…(not to mention that Daddy is an Eagle Scout, so it’s inevitable that she is bound for great things in the scouting world.).
