Oakland Zoo

This is my 100th post!  Happy 100th post to me….

What an amazing day — a bit hot and humid, but so much fun!

Off to edit, so here are a some photos of our “adventure” today.  We will be back very soon to enjoy this zoo with Daddy.

He’s watching the bears… I could not resist his beautiful big eyes… so adorable!

This is what they were watching:   the sun bear — literally right in front of us!

Our only group photo — E is a bit shy, I guess!  No, he was too interested in the elephants behind us!

The zebras:

They all really enjoyed watching the chimpanzees making quite a bit of noise.  MG loved the meerkats — “It was like they were on stage.”  MD’s favorite was the bug house — the HUGE walking stick tied with the tarantula… he couldn’t pick one over the other.  E was still talking about the raucous the male chimpanzee was making when Daddy came home.

Tonight’s dinner: catfish, steamed white rice, and stuffed tomatoes.  MG actually ate the fish and asked for MORE!  It was amazing!
