Washington Day #6

We woke up and had breakfast in our room at the Forks Motel.  We also celebrated Morgan’s sixth birthday with some mini cupcakes for everyone.  It was a nice “quick” treat.

We then drove to see Lake Cresent:

We went on a short hike to see Marymere Falls.  (Thank goodness we left our weapons in the car! ;))  Once we reached the bottom of the waterfall, the children were worn out — so we voted not to continue the trek up the steep stairs to see the actual waterfall.  Instead, we sat at the bottom where the creek was and watched Ed walk up the steps to see the real waterfall.  Again… pictures forthcoming from Ed’s camera! Thanks Ed!  🙂

Staying at the creek wasn’t bad at all.  It was nice and pleasant.  The children did some rock skipping and then that was too boring!  So they asked to wade in the creek…  That’s all fine, right?  Right…. UNTIL… well, you can see for yourself:

Matthew decided he wanted to cross the creek…you can see the results of that adventure by looiking at his sopping wet pants!  After the slip, he continued to get even more wet because why not?  He’s already wet, right?

Morgan and Alex managed to stay dry.  Well, Alex slipped a little but it wasn’t so bad.

The Quach3 were worn out from the “hike”:

Ed stopped along the way to take a photo of this sign:  (our children were asleep, so he borrowed the Yeh’s!)  We then headed to Port Angeles to have dinner and stay the night.

At the Bushwhacker restaurant te staff sang to Morgan:

The children ended the evening with a “movie” on television and popcorn:
