Shhhooo!!!!

That is how our afternoon ended… shooing some roosters away from us!

But let’s start at the beginning:

The boys and I visited Emma Prusch Farm this morning.  Now that we are all feeling better (Ethan is still recovering though), I felt we needed to get back on our outings!  So we started off close by.

They ran to the tractors first, of course!

Here’s that famous “smile” for my camera!

They look cute, don’t they?  Don’t be fooled!  They can sure peck pretty hard – OUCH!  Matthew and Ethan were fine with us skipping by these guys/gals!

After seeing me being pecked by those geese, Ethan wasn’t too sure about this little guy that just wanted to follow us.

Matthew wanted a photo of this peacock on the roof of the hen house!

I probably should not have encouraged this.. they wanted to see the ducks swimming.  Looks like the fence is pretty new…

These miniature pigs were pretty “cute” and harmless looking… they mostly slept!

Then the boys were off and running to the barn… to see the cows:

and sheep:

Just outside the barn were the goats – just hangin’ out. They were too far to see.  I had to zoom in to get this picture to show the boys.

Then it was back to the tractors… don’t know what it is with boys and vehicles!

After about 10 minutes of “driving” the tractors, I was able to “convince” them to leave and play at the play structure area:

They were tired and needed a water break, so we had lunch too!  And spent a bit of the time saying, “shoo!” to these guys.   Luckily they did not get too close, but at one point they almost pecked the bag of grapes that Ethan was eating!  It was a fun morning.  The boys had fun… and they needed it!

Ethan had a nap in the car and in the stroller on the hallway…. we are now off to pick up Morgan and they will be making their Jack O’lantern shirts this afternoon.
