Always playful

They make me laugh, they make me cry… they are MINE, and I love them:

For their birthdays this past August we purchased scooters for them.

Ethan is still learning to use his.  But he is trying and insists, “I do it!”  or the famous, “No, mommy, self.”

Morgan has not had much practice so she is still cautious…

But this little man, he is CRAZY — yes, all in CAPS — he has no fear and has taught himself to be a speed demon on this thing. He scooters every morning to school to drop off Morgan and then again to pick her up after school.  So he has had plenty of time to practice on this.  He has even tried a few tricks!  He will “jump” when approaching a bump in the sidewalk!  And now he knows how to use the brakes on the scooter itself, rather than putting his foot down to stop.  All I have to say is, “Thank goodness for helmets!”  He has fallen many times, but just picks himself up and tries it again.  No pain, no gain…

They believe in taking things slow… and walking their scooters whenever possible.  That’s considered exercise too, right?!

And when walking tires you out… why not pick the thing up???

Probably because it’s too heavy… now back to the drawing board!

They can be the best of friends sometimes…

So can they… they are the captains of this pirate ship…

But this one always wants to be involved too.  No need to worry, I helped him up this time! Although he tried, he had a hard time climbing this one… the gaps were too big in between ropes, so he needed mommy to help a bit.

So this captain went back down to survey the deck from below:

Before we left the park, we had a spin on the tire swing.  Moments after this photo was taken, yep, we had a casualty!  Ethan was laughing so loud and hard that he literally fell off!  He was too shocked to cry, so he looked at me, laughed, and then was done!

I went home and slept on the couch the rest of the day… I am sick… must be a cold…
